DiCE Activities, Events, and Deadlines (Fall 2026)

The Division for Change and Empowerment (DiCE) believes in a university where all Lobos are empowered to pursue their dreams without barriers. As part of our commitment to curiosity and the production of new knowledge, innovative research, and creative works, we lead and organize several events, activities, workshops, and requirements that support all lobos at UNM. Below is a comprehensive list of the many ways we serve UNM.

| NCFDD 14-Day Writing Challenge | August 3 – 16 Sept 21 – Oct 4 | NCFDD asynchronous event. Participants commit to writing at least 30 minutes a day for 14 days. | CAC Workshops | Thurs, Sept 3 2 – 2:50pm & Wed Sept 9 2 – 2:50pm | Introduces faculty to the Critical Analyses of US and Global Cultures requirement. The workshop provides best practices to apply to the requirement and fulfill its criteria. For more information on the CAC requirement. | Register to a CAC Workshop Remote |
| CAC Application Deadline | Sept 11 | Final date to submit materials to the Alza Council Curricular Subcommittee (ACCS) for 2026 approval. Course fulfills the requirement starting in Fall 2027 for six years. | Apply here to the CAC requirement |
| Alza Council Curricular Subcommittee (ACCS) | Recurring event 2nd Tuesday 2 – 2:50pm | ACCS oversees the CAC requirement. Members meet monthly and evaluate courses to ensure they meet the criteria.
